Studio Böttger was established by the siblings Sarah and Henrik Böttger. In their german based studio they create products, objects and furniture in collaboration with international companies. They also realise experimental projects ranging from craftsmanship to art and profit from a wide range of disciplines. Strongly influenced by their craft and art background, they developed a pronounced feel for materials. During the design process they attach particular importance to details with an eye on new usages and look at everyday situations. Their products being first and foremost clear, precise and unobtrusive.

Sarah was trained in carpentry before she graduated 2010 in product design at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach am Main and the University of Art and Design Helsinki. For several years, she has run the studio by herself and worked in parallel for an international platform on design and project concept assignments. Henrik studied design until 2007 and is an independent artist and designer. Having both grown up with the artistic output of their father, creative work is a long standing family tradition. Though working independently in an interconnected field of design they already shared their knowledge for several years. With the decision to establish their collective studio both benefit from their background, complementary knowledge, skills, and distinct personalities.
